Carl, (owner of 4oldguns shown below) was 8 years old when he first
started trading guns.
He walked across town and sold one of his friends a shotgun and ended up
losing $12.50.
In 1940, when he was 10 he started hunting coyotes for the government and
was paid $5.00 per pair of coyote ears. He continued to trade guns
throughout high school.
After High school he joined
the Navy and was sent to submarine school in New London,
Connecticut. During the Korean war he was a gunner on a troup
transport hauling marines
to the Korean battlefield. Later, during the war he was sent to be on the
Navy's boxing team
and had the privilege to box world champion, Johnny Franklin in
1953.
After his discharge from the Navy, he got back into the gun business.
Today, he has been in
the gun business for nearly 50 years and deals with clients around the
world selling the world's
rarest guns.
